Privacy Policy

FounderReset is designed to keep recovery content private and under your control. This policy describes the data practices of the FounderReset iOS app.

1. Data we do not collect

FounderReset does not require an account. We do not operate an analytics service, advertising service, tracking system, or online AI service for recovery conversations. We do not receive your journal entries, assessment answers, check-ins, safety contact, founder review notes, or companion conversations.

2. Data stored on your device

The app may store assessment responses, check-ins, completed actions, recovery priorities, private workspace entries, companion conversations, and an optional safety contact. Private records are encrypted locally. The encryption key is stored in the iOS Keychain and is restricted to the device. Protected files use iOS file protection.

3. Data retention

Private records remain on your device until you delete them inside FounderReset or remove the app. FounderReset does not keep a separate server copy. FounderReset marks its encrypted private-record files as excluded from device backup.

4. Device authentication

If you enable record protection, FounderReset uses Apple’s LocalAuthentication framework to request device authentication. FounderReset does not receive or store your Face ID, Touch ID, or device passcode data.

5. Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. FounderReset uses StoreKit to determine product availability and subscription entitlement. Apple may process purchase, billing, and account information under Apple’s own privacy policy. FounderReset does not receive your full payment-card details.

6. Emergency resources and phone links

The app can display region-aware emergency resources and can open the iOS phone interface when you choose to call. FounderReset does not place calls automatically and does not receive call contents. Emergency services and telecommunications providers operate under their own policies.

7. Sharing and exports

FounderReset only exports a progress report when you explicitly use the share action. After information is shared to another app or person, that copy is no longer protected by FounderReset. Review the destination and recipients carefully.

8. Data deletion

You can delete all FounderReset records from Profile → Privacy & Data → Delete All Records. You can also remove individual safety contacts and workspace entries. Deletion removes the app’s local private records and returns the app to privacy onboarding. Deleting the app also removes its local files; iOS may manage device backups according to your Apple settings.

9. Children

FounderReset is intended for users aged 16 and older and is not directed to younger children. FounderReset does not collect personal information from the app.

10. Security and limitations

We use local encryption, iOS file protection, and optional device authentication. No security measure can guarantee absolute protection. Protect your device passcode and avoid exporting sensitive reports to unintended recipients.

11. Changes

If the app’s data practices change, this policy will be updated before the affected version is released. The effective date above identifies the current policy.

12. Contact

For privacy questions or requests, email uopter583@gmail.com or use the FounderReset Support page.
